Create an Issue - Burlesque Summer Camp

Every Sunday from June 28 to August 2 and Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

A summer to create, learn and shine!

The camp takes place over 5 Sundays and one Tuesday evening spread between the end of June and the beginning of August. For one full day per week, you will be guided by professional artists from the Montreal burlesque scene, reconnu.es for their talent, pedagogy and artistic flair.
As the weeks go by, you will learn how to:

  • Choose your music and build a unique burlesque character

  • Design and manufacture your costume elements

  • Exploring movement, sensuality and staging

  • Structure and choreograph your act

Comprehensive and intensive training

This camp is for anyone motivated to create a personal act and to be actively involved in the process. A significant part of the work is done at home between sessions: choice of music, rehearsals, costume crafts, reflection on the staging...

Each day is structured around practical workshops, presentation times and constructive feedback. You will be accompanied by a different teacher each week, which will allow you to benefit from several artistic approaches and sensibilities. Among the artists invité.es this year: Roxy Torpedo, Lady Josephine, Mina Minou, Freya Moon, Gina Gelato and Kinky Karma.

The complete experience: photoshoot + final show

In addition to the creative workshops, you will participate in a professional photoshoot. This will be an opportunity to capture your character in images, to create quality content for your social networks or portfolio, and to keep a strong memory of this adventure.

The camp will conclude in style with an end-of-camp show, presented in front of a warm audience made up of your ami.es, families and members of the burlesque community. A golden opportunity to unveil your creation on stage and celebrate your journey!
